Hit 38 ↟ Video
Misdreavus scares people with a creepy, sobbing cry. The Pokémon uses its red gems to absorb the fear of foes and victims to turn it into nutrition. Its evolved form Mismagius, chants incantations to usually torment their targets but some of their chants can cause happiness. A Mismagius, can feed on fear as well consider it still has those same jewels

[As he speaks, a distorted giggle can be heard echoing slightly.]

The funny thing is, thanks to me and previous company, my Mismagius Wonka has adapted in an interesting way. She doesn’t need to cause fear herself as much anymore. Oh no, she learned a much faster way to get large amounts of what she wants. She adapted to the point where she can sense blood lust in people. If someone is giving off killing intent then someone else is more than likely scared shitless nearby.

[He shrugs, not mentioning exactly how he might have caused that. The giggles are slowly getting louder.]

I’ve been wondering about this, but has anyone else’s pokémon adapted their natural behavior in an interesting way? I don’t mean stuff you teach them directly either, just stuff they picked up as a direct result with being around non-locals. Would being able to use the gear count as one of those things. I’ve never seen a message or video from a pokémon that was raised by someone born in this world.

It’s interesting to think about.

[From sensing blood lust to learning how to type in a short amount of time, pokémon sure are amazing. You know what else is amazing, how Killua has been ignoring that giggling for so long. He doesn’t even flinch when it sounds like it right next to him. You don’t get to see what it is as he shuts off his gear.]

Maka Albarn: you're just hitting shuffle aren't you[personal profile] soundmind on March 9th, 2014 04:32 am (UTC)
...Yes. I'm surprised you missed it, actually, this troublemaker here--indicating a Zoroark by pointing her Gear at it] took my form and announced it was my birthday.

[As if to prove this happened, the Zoroark turns into an exact copy of Maka and grins. "I'm surprised you missed it" the clone repeats.]

It's scary how fast she learned to talk as a human, but I raised her from an egg so maybe she just started learning from me by instinct.

["By instinct." Maka glares at the Zoroark.]

I've been a bit distracted, sorry. [He normally jumps at a chance to talk with pokemon.]

Zoroarks do love to mimic things, so learning the human speak is just a step up from that. You should be proud and glad be she hasn't figure out how to spend your money yet.

No, no, I'm glad some people missed it, it was--[well it was humiliating.

But now that the idea has been put into her head, she looks back at Blair again.]

That makes me wonder if anyone has ever trained their Zoroarks to go do their jobs for them when they're sick. Not that I'd ever do that [heaven forbid missing out on working!] but it's an interesting idea. And your Mismagius, if she can sense killing intent, I wonder if that could be used to predict if something bad is about to happen.

[Yep this is Maka, always looking to the practical application of abilities.]

I wouldn't be surprised if someone has done it or if there are Zoroarks that posed as them at their just for kicks. You could imagine the confusion not to mention, if they can talk it would harder to prove who is the pokemon.

With Wonka, its generally a good way to gauge a person, some people naturally give it off and she warms up to them a bit fast. [Wonka is a little messed up.] Now my Absol, she can normally tell when something is up if I have her out before hand.

Blair still messes up some words, but I have the feeling she'll get it perfect eventually.

[In the background, Blair grins again--this time her teeth are back to their usual sharpness.]

Oh, that's right, Absols can predict disaster! I wonder why the police don't use them more often, then? Although I suppose they wouldn't be predicting smaller scale disasters like murder or robbery, but maybe like the thing in Olivine.

Killua Zoldyck: So what?[personal profile] killer_sweets on March 9th, 2014 07:54 am (UTC)
That is when you'll have to watch out.

[Speaking of watching out, Killua moves over slight as Wonka materialize right next to him.]

You do realise that would mean the police actually having foresight to think about stuff like that. The same police force that have warrants that only last two weeks no matter crime.

Maybe they have a suggestion box?

You'd need a bit more then just suggestions. Considering they don't even seem to know where team rocket is stationed.

[That is just all sorts of sad.]

[Yeah...it's not efficient in the slightest, but...well look at her face, Killua, she wants to believe in them!!]

It's a little hard, but I've gotten use to it. I have been here for quite a while after all.
