Everyone's got a name or at least something close to it. But do you guys know what your names actually mean, or the reason you were given that name? We give pokémon names to set them apart, but does the way you name yours mean anything special? I just named this guy Lemon Twist since he reminds me of striped lemon candy.

It's interesting when you think about it: someone or you yourself has been given this word to identify by and it could have some really deep mean behind it. It could be something that a person thought sounded cute but in the end it's pretty sucky for you. For example, someone could have named their kid after a word that sounds cool yet it could mean horse-shit in the language its from.

I sort of lucked out with the way my parents named me and my siblings, but it has me wondering about everyone else. So tell me what your names mean.

I wonder if I should tell Yusuke that his gel makes his hair look green. Maybe he'd stop using it, then again green might be one of his favorite colors.

Exactly, the history could be similar be certain events could be completely different. This doesn't even take into account that the times people come in at will be different too.

For example, someone can come from the same place as you but be from several years in the future or hundreds of years in the past.

Isn't that adorable. [He's not even being sarcastic, he's threatened to maim is family on more then on occasion.]

That sounds like an interest way to get a name. Though I'm guessing you haven't read the story yet?

I never thought that an uncommon name could cause that to happen. It makes sense though, the only other thing could be worse is having a name with loads of titles.

What was your father's name?

If you were a skeleton it would have been hard to tell what sex you were. I am not surprised at all that stuff pissed him off, he gets hung up on details sometimes.

[Which is weird because Yusuke doesn't seem to think about the details, so much as react to them.]

He wears a pastel green uniform, if he thing the gel makes him look cool he'll keep doing it. Which I'm fine with, it doesn't change the fact he looks like Gon's dad.

I never got around to asking about it so I'm not to sure. Maybe my did it that way on a whim.

I technically haven't left, but last time my memories caught up, she was happy. I know we're really far away from where we left you with Ging.

Some pokemon have a preface when it comes to names. I don't know your Harshwhimsy, so it could be anything.

While I have a few issues with my family, we have a pretty interesting history. I know my great great granddad is still alive. He actually still working in the the family business.

That's amazing! I don't know how this place does it, but it can really bring people together from all over, huh! Do you think there's any kind of pattern to who shows up here, and where and when they're from?

Maybe...! Naming people or pets almost seems like something that you'd need to think about, though.

Oh I have one of those, I named them Bitter pill. You didn't really do anything to set off that reaction. [At least he knows what the pokemon is now.]

They thought about the way to do it but they might not have a reason. That's a bit more creative then what most people would do at least.

There isn't any real pattern, but if you show up here there is a chance someone from your world might. Sometimes a whole bunch of people come from the same place over time.

Kluya? It sounds different...I can't really comment much on it being fit for a human. Since from what people tell me here, the folks from my world don't sound like they are very human, myself included.

Ah... I can't quite remember the name a the story proper. I was really sorta eavesdroppin' while doin' a few other things. But I think the book was... somethin' somethin' bird.

It was a long while ago, mind.

Perhaps that is because the word 'human' is simply the closest translation for multiple species from various worlds in the local language?

Oh, I hope you're right in my case! I really want to see my friends again... They're sure taking their time, though! [ That was supposed to be lighthearted, but it comes across as kind of sad. Mimi hastily tries to move the conversation forward. ]
