Everyone's got a name or at least something close to it. But do you guys know what your names actually mean, or the reason you were given that name? We give pokémon names to set them apart, but does the way you name yours mean anything special? I just named this guy Lemon Twist since he reminds me of striped lemon candy.

It's interesting when you think about it: someone or you yourself has been given this word to identify by and it could have some really deep mean behind it. It could be something that a person thought sounded cute but in the end it's pretty sucky for you. For example, someone could have named their kid after a word that sounds cool yet it could mean horse-shit in the language its from.

I sort of lucked out with the way my parents named me and my siblings, but it has me wondering about everyone else. So tell me what your names mean.

Sure I have, but I quit being an assassin a long time ago. [The last time he killed anyone was purely in self-defense.]

Okay so you don't end up screaming in my ear again. I want you to think about it like this. It's hard to feel remorse for something that you've been taught since you were a baby. By this point for me, death is normal part of life.

[He raises his voice before she can get going.]

HOWEVER! I am not a serial killer. In a hit you have to take out the target and not bystanders.

I... I suppose if that's all I was used to, it would be hard to shake the habit... [ Okay. She can kind of understand. She can't accept, but she can understand. ]

The people you killed... were they bad? [ She's kind of grasping at straws here, but she knows what it's like to destroy bad guys, anyway. Maybe it's the same thing in Killua's case. ]

That's kind of hard to define since I don't remember the details of all the hits I was on. I do remember that one guy from the exam, since that was a little bit after when I met my best friend.

It wasn't a hit but the dude was a serial killer and he was aiming to rip me apart with his bare hands. I didn't give him the chance.

[He also killed a few more people during the exam, the last one was a case of Illumi being involved. He didn't want to think that deeply on his brother right now.]

Well, it's different if someone is trying to kill you first! That sounds really scary, and I would have fought back too! But that's not the same as what you did when you were an... an assassin, right?

...What exam was this that involved killing people, anyway?!

That was after I quit being an assassin and decided to take the hunter exam. It's not the kind where you go hunt animals for sport. I know beast hunter he is the exact opposite to of that.

[He has a feeling this girl and Knuckle would get along.]

A hunter is an elite member of humanity, which is tested by the hunter exam. It suppose to be super dangerous, for me it might have been boring if it wasn't for Gon and my other friends.

Wait. [ Mimi doesn't understand everything he's saying, but one thing sticks in her head. ] If you're a hunter and you don't hunt animals... what do you hunt?

[ Mimi isn't sure she wants to know. Hunting, killing... How can he be so blasé about all this? ]

I haven't decided yet, like I said being a hunter is a title but it's also a job. The job depends on your tastes. [When one really grabs his interest he'll go after it.]

The beast hunters, for example, study and help with the preservation of undiscovered animal species. They really love nature. One of my friends is a blacklist hunter, they track down dangerous criminals. The type of hunter you become really varies.

Anything is good as long as I can have the freedom to do what I want and have fun. Maybe a treasure hunter or something like a secret hunter, finding out hidden information that's been really locked away.

[ Welcome to Mimi, Killua. Of course, she's still not okay with the killing part, but this is the best way she can deal with it. ]

Those do sound like fun! They certainly seem a lot more exciting than my dreams for the future... Maybe I should look into becoming a treasure hunter! [ She smiles a bit. ]

Your dream can't be super boring, as long as you don't want to be dentist or plumper. Though a treasure hunting dentist would be interesting.

I don't know, my dream might not be much more interesting than that, but it's what I want to do! I want to be a chef! [ She enters a minor form of the sparkle mode that is normally reserved for America as she continues. ] I'd be famous, traveling all over the world to do my cooking shows! And I'd show everyone the wonders of natto!

[Eh those people probably had it coming besides at least he remember a few of them. Unlike some of his family.]

Actually you could be a gourmet hunter, they go around the world finding rare ingredients and making all sort of undiscovered recipes.

What exactly do you have to do to become a hunter, anyway? You mentioned an exam? An exam where... people were trying to kill each other? [ Gulp. ]

The exam is different every year, so no one knows what the test will be. There are life and death situations, but they don't try to make you kill anyone. However, the first one I went to a had a guy going around killing contestants but that wasn't part of exam. That guy is just a twisted asshole.

There was other one that wanted new people to fail, he was an asshole but not as bad as the twisted guy.

[No one is as bad as hisoka except maybe Killua's oldest brother.]
