Character History:

Hunter Exam Arc
After leaving his home on the mountain, Killua decided to take part in the illustrious Hunter Exam. During the first official test he ran into the only other person his age at the exam: a boy named Gon Freecss. They naturally bonded during the event of the exam, and Killua also became acquainted with two of Gon’s other friends Kurapika and Leorio. At a point between the second and third phase, Killua bluntly told Gon about his family’s business and is surprised that his friend not only took him seriously, but also seemed alright with his past. Killua confided in Gon, telling him that the reason he ran away to be a Hunter was so that he could avoid taking up the constricting mantle of heir, and instead do what he wanted to in life. Killua displayed his more bloodthirsty side a little while later, wiping out two random men after feeling frustrated with a game he played with Gon and the Hunter Association Chairman, Netero.

When faced against a serial killer in a match to the death during the third phase of the exam, Killua didn’t hesitate to rip the mans heart out. He even took the time to show his prize before the poor fool sucumbs to his wounds. The longer the exam went on the closer he got to his new friends, Gon in particular. This lasts until the final rounds of the exam, one on one fights between the last few examinees. After watching his friends from the side lines, he was eager to have his own match, especially after walking away from his first one because he was disappointed in having such a weak opponent. Unfortunately the opponent he had to face in his second round, a round he needed to win in order to not be eliminated, happened to be Gittarackur, a strange man who turned out to be his elder brother, Illumi, in disguise. Illumi was there to get his own Hunter license for work and to also keep tabs on Killua per request of their mother because he had run away from home. KIllua told Illumi that he’s made friends now, which Illumi didn’t think possible because Killua is a “passionless puppet of darkness”, a merciless killer, like the rest of the family. Leorio spoke up against these facts and brought up Gon. Illumi decided to threaten Killua into complying; and because of his threats to kill Gon and to show no mercy on Killua if he decided to go through with the match, Killua forfeited. After Killua conceded, Illumi planted a notion in Killua’s head which caused him to kill one of the examinees. Killua is thereby disqualified and heads home dejected.

Zoldyck Family Arc
When Killua returned home, his mother had him immediately grounded, with no objections from his father and grandfather (until much later about it). Zoldyck grounding is unconventional in the scope of comparison to normal families as it involves torture; Killua was chained and hung up in one of their torture chambers while his second oldest brother, Milluki doled out punishment. Even after the fierce whipping, Killua was more bored then anything. Milluki knew this and yelled at Killua for what he did to him. Killua apologised, yet in the same breath said that he didn’t regret it. He did say that Milluki is allowed to rough him up some more however. Before Milluki could lash out some more, Kikyou called him about the intruders, so as payback, he implied a threat towards Gon, Leorio, and Kurapika about the consequences of death for coming to their home. Killua responded by breaking one of his bonds and threatening to kill Milluki. Luckily Milluki was saved by the arrival of Zeno who said that Killua’s punishment was over but he needed to talk to his father once released.

Silva, Killua’s father, then asked him various questions, including he how liked taking the Hunter Exam. He asked Killua about the friends he’d supposedly made, along with the adventures he had with them, which ended with Silva deciding that they make a blood oath, promising that Killua would never betray his friends. Afterwards, he was granted permission to leave, but as he made his way out, he is confronted by his mother, Kikyou. Killua coldly glared at her as she tried to stop him; though she took his rebellion as a joyous interaction. After that, he left his home with Gon, Leorio and Kurapika. Killua decided to follow Gon to his next place of travel, while the others went their separate ways. However, they promised to meet again in the city of Yorkshin on September 1st.

Heavens Arena Arc
Gon and Killua went off to a fighting tournament tower called Heavens Arena to earn some extra cash. Killua had been there before on his father's command at the age of six. During the early fights, Killua faced against a boy name Zushi. Killua had decided to go easy him by knocking him out, but Zusuhi kept getting up. This frustrated Killua into using force to win the fight. They advanced to the 200th floor and ran immediately into Hisoka. He challenged them to learn nen before they could proceed, for if they did not they would be likely to die (nen will be explained further in the powers section). After this experience, they met up with Zushi who was actually learning nen from his teacher Wing. Throughout the tournament they rapidly learned their Nen, much faster than the pace someone normally learns. Finally, after learning what sort of nen they each had, they also found out that learning nen was a secret and final part of the Hunter Exam. Killua also discovered that he fell under the category of Transmuter as a nen-user.

Yorkshin City/Phantom Troupe Arc
Prior to arriving at Yorkshin, so that they can meet up with their friends, Killua and Gon stopped at Whale Island and found out the whereabouts of Gon’s father, Ging. They were given one clue: a videogame called Greed Island, so Killua calls Milluki who is a fanatic of all things nerdy. The nearest copy happened to be in Yorskshin City, where they had been planning on going anyway to meet up with Leorio and Kurapika. Seeing that they would need money to get a copy of the game, they started to devise a plan on how to raise some. Thankfully they immediately ran into Leorio and he helped them get on the fast track of getting cash. They don’t get nearly enough so they get some assistance from Zepile, an antique seller. To earn more money they decided to go after the bounties on the Phantom Troupe, a notorious group of thieves that were stealing goods from the auction. They ran into two of the Troupe — Nobunaga and Machi — and decided to track them, but are unknowingly being tracked themselves and end up being kidnapped. Nobunaga wanted them to join the Troupe, so he ended up babysitting the two of them while waiting for their leader to return. While they are there, Killua overheard the Troupe talking and realised that they are looking for a chain user that attacked them; the description leads him to believe it to be Kurapika. The Troupe attacked the auction one more time during their capture, so Killua and Gon used this to their advantage, made their escape, and contacted Kurapika.

They finally met later in the park and learn that the Troupe is apparently dead, though this turned out to be a hoax. Kurapika then informed them about his abilities. and devised a plan of how to get to the Troupe. Killua was the scout with another Hunter named Melody to start off, however the plan failed mid action before anything could really happen past that. Kurapika decided to go on his own but is nearly captured because of it; Gon and Killua end up taking the fall and get captured instead, for Killua came out from where he and Kurapika had been hiding in order to be the “other friend hiding” that Gon is asked about when approached by the Troupe. Because this happened, they had to wait for someone to free them, which Kurapika, Leorio, and Melody worked toward. Later on, once this plan has been formulated, Killua broke his own wrist to free himself from binds placed on him by the Troupe in order to then break the arm of one of the Troupe’s members, as she could read minds through touch. He then went to free Gon but is captured by another Troupe member. After that they are moved to the Troupe’s hideout, where they waited for their hostage situation to be sorted out by Kurapika, who pulled through in the end.

After this, they finally got to attend the auction they wanted to: which was selling off Greed Island. However they ran into the Phantom Troupe one last time during this. Luckily, there was no confrontation because they immediately left the auction to figure out another way to get the game. They found out that a man named Battera was looking for 20 players to enter the game for him; with the requirement that they must first show off their nen skills, specifically their Hatsu. Killua’s skill involved electricity, something of which he was intimately familiar with thanks to his family training, so he passed with ease. Gon passed his test as well and they are allowed to play the game of Greed Island.

Greed Island Arc
Greed Island could be considered a live action roleplay game, as players do quests, fight monsters and explore the world, all the while collecting cards for a special binder. Cards can be won in many different ways such as normal quests, or lost in bets, or even against other players.

The moment Killua and Gon are transported into the Greed Island game, they found themselves ambushed by the Bomb Devils, three high level players of the game. The group asked the two of them if they wanted to join them to help them with the game but the duo refused. Leaving the Bomb Devils behind, they realised quickly that they might of had a point in needing help. Playing the game was much harder than they had realised even with their new skills. They couldn’t even finish off a low level monster they ran into. This is where things begun to look up in a way, as another Hunter appeared by the name of Biscuit. She had been watching the two for a while and wasn’t impressed, so she first told them outright how terrible they had been doing; but because of the potential she suspected they had she decided to train them. However, they would have to help her with something in return. While Gon was alright with accepting this, Killua was much more wary about the affair but went along with it anyway.

Biscuit ended up proving her point about them being weak and easy targets when a high level player attacked them. Biscuit herself easily dispatched the man but lost some hair in the process. After that they started training for real, though Killua and Biscuit clashed on several occasions, mainly due to Killua’s normally bratty behavior. They were able to learn finer control and expanded upon their abilities more easily from this training. At a certain point Killua decided he’s ready to take on the Hunter Exam once more seeing that the time for the next one had rolled around again. He left Greed Island to take the exam and also get some special yoyos from Milluki while away. For the first phase of this year’s exam, the Examiner decided to start with a fight round and those who were still standing would get to proceed to the next round. Killua, not wanting to wait a long time to get everything done, used his new speed and strength to knock out all the other opponents out. Thus, KIllua was able to earn his license by default with approval from the chairman, since he had already passed the secret exam with Wing.

He returned to the game of Greed Island shortly after and continued on with playing it with Gon. During the time between heading back, Killua picked up a taser, for a quick way to recharge his electricity. After finishing more training with Biscuit they headed over to Masadora, also known as the Magic City. This is where they were recruited by another group of players to stop the Bomb Devils before they can complete the game through their player killer means. They needed to gain a special card that will complete their binders, so they work towards doing so. However, one of the quests to achieve the binder was too difficult and they failed to complete it. This was due to the group’s lack of highly skilled members. Therefore, Killua, Gon and Biscuit decided to recruit players they’ve already run into like Tsezegarra. However, while looking over the list of players that Gon had encountered, a surprising name showed up: Chrollo Lucifer, the currently missing leader of the Phantom Troupe. Unsure of how or why he could possibly be in the game, since Kurapika placed a curse on his nen, they decided to teleport over (they do so by using one of the spell cards in the game) and found out that it was not Chrollo at all but Hisoka, who was bathing in a lake. After clearing that up and Hisoka calming down over his excitement of Gon and Killua suddenly appearing before him, Gon asked Hisoka to join their quest. Killua in the meantime, questioned Hisoka’s motives for even being in the game, hypothesizing that Hisoka might be there to find someone to break Chrollo’s curse and that he’s probably working with the Troupe. When trying to confirm his suspicions, Killua is baffled to find out that Hisoka doesn’t have any of the Troupe listed as contacts in his binder when Gon asks to see it. He let the issue drop until after they completed the quest so as not to raise suspicion towards Hisoka. To do so they had to beat the 11 “pirates” in a game of dodgeball in the Port City, Soufrabi. In the end, all other players are taken out by Razor and his 14 devils (his nen ability), except for Gon, Killua, and Hisoka. Because of the limited players, on top of both Hisoka and Killua damaging their hands in earlier plays, they decided to use a rather awkwarded formation as a last resort. By sheer determination, they were able to beat Razor and his gang and get the card they needed to set up the trap, the Patch of Shore.

The plan was simple since the Bomb Devils had them marked as potential targets to grab cards from, operating under the assumption that a group of “kids” are easy to deal with. The Patch of Shore card the trio obtained is one of the few that the Devils still needed to finish the game. They split up and take on each of the members: Gon fought the leader Genthru, Killua fought Sub, and Biscuit fought Bara. During Killua and Sub’s fight, Killua realised that he would not have a hard time defeating him. Sub was a powerful hand-to-hand fighter but that was the only area his strength resided in, so one good punch could take him out. Killua allowed the man to get through his own guard so that he could use the yo-yos he had obtained made of pure steel (or some other type of metal). Because they weighed a lot, though they did not look it, Killua was able to use that to his advantage. Killua only showed off one of his two yo-yos to to Sub to lead him on. Sub thus assumed that he had figured out Killua’s plan because of the misdirection to attack his opening, and used the chance, not aware that Killua had been actually playing with him the whole time. KIllua pulled out his second yoyo when he attacked Sub’s opening, and used both to corner the man, then knocked him out. To add insult to injury, Killua electrocuted Sub in the end for no other reason other than that he could.

When he reunited with Gon and Biscuit, Gon was heavily injured. They used the card The Breath of Archangel to heal the injuries, then used it to also heal the Bomb Devils, much to their enemies’ surprise. Once they completed that, they put the last card they needed into the binder to complete it. Gon, Biscuit, and Killua won the game and were allowed to take one card with them to the outside world. When they (or more specifically Gon) won, he was invited to learn the history behind the making of Greed Island. It was explained here that Greed Island was actually a real place in the Hunter x Hunter world and that cards, spells, and items were created using Nen. The name of the game itself came from the first letter of each of the creators’ names: the G being Ging’s name.. After obtaining this important information, Gon decided on his and Killua’s next stop on their journey with the help of the card he chose to bring back with him to the real world. The card that Gon picked was the teleportation card. Gon wished to go to Ging and took Killua along so he could meet Ging as well. They said farewell to Biscuit before they left.

Chimera Ant Arc
It turned out that Ging had actually put in special rules if Gon used the teleportation card, predicting that it would be the card Gon would take with him back to the real world: A) If Gon is alone he goes to Ging directly, but B) If Gon has a friend with him, they would get teleported to someone else entirely. This person turned out to be Ging’s disciple, Kite, whom Gon met on Whale Island some years prior when Kite had saved him from a foxbear and informed him that Ging was alive. Kite told them they were in the country of Neo-Green Life, or NGL, a country that was shut off from the rest of the world, required screening to enter, and is run by a dictatorship. The continent does not promote technological growth, but nature. Kite is a Contract Hunter — a hunter who studies biological and ecological interactions with organisms, along with doing other miscellaneous jobs so he’s there to study some of the creatures there — and when asked by Gon and Killua to be accompanied on his next mission, agreed.

The next mission was a strange one as reports of an animal species that Kite had been already examining called Chimera Ants suddenly appeared in NGL and evolved from tiny, ant-like creatures to a more vicious animal. These insects main evolution process is to devour other animals at a rapid speed. When it is the Queen who consumed the other animal, she can pass along some of the traits of the eaten to her offspring; for instance some of their physical traits like a grasshopper's legs or some of their instinctual traits, like how a possum plays dead as a defense mechanism. Unknown to the crew however, was that the Queen had eaten several humans on top of the creatures she had been devouring. When they realised this, Kite and his crew went to find the Queen’s nest to prevent anything more dangerous from happening.

But as they were in their search, the Queen’s soldier ants were born and dispatched to bring in more food so that the King could be born. They targeted the humans who lived in NGL capturing and devouring them, and in the process got a hold of several Hunters who had come to investigate. This gave the already powerful species access to the secrets of nen. Ironically, there was an order to eliminate the ants, which is why there were nen using hunters present for them to consume. Kite and his group also ended up encountering a few low ranking ants who wanted to take over NGL, but Killua, Gon, and Kite easily defeated them. In Killua’s fight, this was his first time he switched to kill mode in a long time.

Later on, Kite instructed Killua and Gon to fight Rammot after they tracked him down from his rampage on one of the NGLs villages’ people and horses. He told them that they must defeat him on their own if they wanted to get strong enough to fight the higher ranking Ants. They do well, but before they can finish off Rammot, he is saved by his superior, Colt. They then headed to the forest and faced off against a large group of ants next. Thanks to the fighting, one of the newly born ant generals, Neferpitou, takes an interest in them. Killua could immediately tell that they were no match for the ant unlike Gon who wanted to stay and help Kite. Killua ended up having to knock out Gon, and leave on Kites orders.

Afterward, the duo got instructions from Netero that if they wanted to continue the mission, they would need to see two Hunters named Morel and Knov . Morel and Knov informed the kids that if they wanted to continue the mission, the conditions were that they needed to beat their respective apprentices, Knuckle and Shoot in one month. They’re contacted by Biscuit at this same time, who gave them additional training for their match.

In the middle of their training, they were instructed to fight Knuckle together to see how far they would still need to go. The two fared poorly, so they had to go back to training. When the month was up, Gon and Killua would get to fight Knuckle for real. When the time came it turned out that it would be one-on-one matches: Gon facing Knuckle and Killua facing Shoot. Killua decided to take more training from Biscuit, and she informed him that his biggest flaw that he needed to work on was that he ran from strong opponents. She went on to say that he would likely abandon Gon one day, which upsets him. In Killua’s match the urge to flee took hold, but he held out and did not run from his match with Shoot. While Shoot admired his conviction, Killua still lost in the end. Gon also lost his match against Knuckle, but had his nen sealed, which unfortunately prevented them from facing off against the ants for some time. Gon and Killua saw Knuckle and Shoot off at the entrance of NGL, seeing that because they lost, Knuckle and Shoot would proceed on the hunt, while they stayed behind. Gon realised how weak he was so Killua promised to himself that for the thirty days that Gon could not use his nen he would protect him; but after that he would leave Gon so that the prediction of him betraying and hurting him wouldn't become more than speculation.

Killua and Gon next met another nen-user named Palm, who was on a mission to help find out where the Ant’s main nest was located. The first impression she gives Killua isn’t too great, as she looked and acted like she was two steps away from being a serial killer. Palm also said that she would help out on the mission if Gon would go on out a date with her.

Gon accepted the date from Palm much to Killua’s horror. He felt that his friend was likely to be killed in such a vulnerable state. He decided to stalk them, and was surprised to see Palm looking charming and pretty instead of horrific and eerie. He followed them along on their date, however, in the middle of it, he sensed the the presence of an ant nearby. It turned out to be the ant Rammot, that they had encountered earlier, except now he was awakened to nen. Killua had a mental breakdown, as something inside of him told him to flee for his life while another part of him wanted him to stay to fight so that he could protect Gon. This confused the ant because he didn’t understand why Killua was displaying such emotions. Just at that moment Rammot decided to try and kill Killua. Because of the internal struggle, the thought crossed Killua’s mind to jam his fingers into his own head and he pulled something out; before moving out of Rammot’s attack range. It turned out that Illumi had planted a needle in his head to keep him from highly dangerous situations and opponents. With the block removed, Killua gave Rammot one warning to keep away from Gon and himself or die. Rammot yelled that was he going to kill them and in an instant Killua ripped off his head and crushed it, killing Rammot.

He caught up with the others afterwards and found out that the date didn’t go as planned and had to save Gon from being stabbed by Palm. The two later met up with Morel and Knuckle who showed Gon and Killua where they had placed Kite now that they had found him like promised. To their horror, what was once known as Kite was now just a meat puppet thanks to his capture by the Ants. After that happened, the group got the next line of orders for their Ant mission from Netero and at midnight Gon’s nen was unsealed. Morel told Gon that he’s still not convinced of Gon’s resolve to fight Ants and Gon, in his anger, almost killed Morel who tested him. Killua is the one stopped him from doing so, realizing how affected and serious Gon was.

Next, they scoped out the palace to gather more information on the whole situation there. Killua made Gon stay put while he ran around and tried to inform the population that their leader was now being controlled by the Ant King, Meruem. But then a marital law went into effect where he was labeled as a rebel/traitor, so his warnings weren’t heeded. This didn’t phase Killua, as he wouldn’t mind taking out a few tanks and planes if it meant getting the job done. He was more than willing to cause such destruction if anyone dared to come after him.

On the way back he ran into a group of Ants, one of them an Octopus-like Ant named Ilkalgo. Ilkalgo, using a host body snipe-attacked Killua from up upon a rock while he was down running through the forest. Killua, after pinpointing where he was, engaged in battle with him, and they end up going underground into a cavern full of vicious water-based Ants. During the fight Killua actually saved Ilkalgo life, he liked the loyalty and conviction that the ant had for himself. The same could not be said for the group leader, for he decided to use Ilkalgo as a way to get at Killua. This pissed Killua off, and he easily slaughtered the ants attacking from the water and all of his underlings. However the true group leader named Orthro, then challenged him and used Killua as a dartboard. Killua easily realised what had happened however, because he’s known how to play darts since he was four or five.He loses a lot of blood though during the exchange and fears he’s going to die but Ikalgo saves him.

Killua recovered in a hospital from his wounds — where, because of his injuries, it was made aware to the viewers how muscular he had become over the years. Once Killua was healed, he and Ilkalgo met back up with Knov and others inside one of Knov’s nen rooms. They made the plans on how they were going to infiltrate the castle. Killua was worried that there would be a catalyst that would backfire/some unknown person that they were not accounting for but his worries were brushed aside. Killua still felt something was wrong, like there was something there they did not know about. They do not find out until later that it was a human girl named Komugi who had “befriended” the Ant King. (The infiltration explained below only happens for five minutes, but it should be noted that a lot happens during this short amount of time.) Right at the start of the assault of their plan of attack, there was another unknown ally who rained down on the palace with nen. It turned out that his grandfather and someone else not known to Killua at the time had their own attack planned. Because of this unknown attack, the whole plan was thrown off balance, and Komugi is killed during it, causing a cycle of unpredicted events to unfold.

Killua did a lot of running around: taking out ants as he was trying to figure out what was going on. He eventually ran into where Gon had headed off towards to find him watching Pitou trying to heal Komugi. Killua tried to convince Gon to leave, or at least help out but Gon coldly told Killua off with some hurtful words. Killua, very upset over this, left and ran into Knuckle who was fighting another ant general named Menthuthuyoupi. Killua used a lot of his energy to Zap Youpi but ran when his electricity depleted. Then he went looking to find out if Palm was nearby. Palm had went on ahead to infiltrate the palace before the assault and the group had lost track of her. When he finally found her, he discovered that she was turned into a Chimera Ant but he was unsure if she had retained her memories. The truth was, though she did have her memories, she was under Shaiapouf’s control (Pouf has a nen ability called Beelzebub, where he can split apart his body into multiple tiny versions or sprites of himself). She attacked him while he tried to get through to her, telling her how much Gon needed her to be there for him in his time of anguish. Killua was convinced that the only person who can help Gon at the moment was Palm. Palm broke free from Pouf’s control and killed the Pouf sprite. She then told Killua that the person Gon needed most at the moment was him. This statement caused Killua to breakdown into tears.

He took off to find Gon again but instead finds a fully healed Komugi. He took her with him since he was not sure of her value to any of the ants, especially the Ant King Meruem. He went to look for the others to see what to do with them. On his search he encountered Pouf, and it didn’t take long for him to figure out that Pouf’s agenda was different from Pitous, even if they both were acting to benefit the King. Pouf wanted Komugi, most likely to kill her, so Killua protects her first by knocking her out because Pouf had convinced the girl that Killua had wanted to kill her. After getting rid of the clone of Pouf he finally ran into the others and they make a last minute plan. He then handed over Komugi to Palm for safe keeping while he went to look for Gon. Much later on he found Gon, but the state his best friend was in shocked him: an unnatural form as he is bashing a mostly likely already dead Pitou to death over and over again into the ground. Before he can get him to stop Gon uses one last attack on Pitou whose body still moved without a head. This caused an explosion of Nen that Killua couldn’t stop. The last time we see Killua he’s carrying off Gon somewhere safe. After everything had been resolved in NGL, including the death of the Ant King and his generals, the group were seen in the hospital recovering from their injuries, with Gon being the worst condition. Killua was looking over Gon as he started to think over what happened between them. He was still upset over everything that happened and vowed that he would make Gon apologise for his callous remarks and for leaving him behind.

Election Arc
With Gon in critical condition in the hospital, everyone was at a loss for what they could do to help him, for not even a nen exorcist would be able to bring Gon out of his state. The only person who had formulated a plan and had an idea on someone who could help Gon was Killua: his little sister, Alluka Zoldyck. For Illumi’s needle that had been embedded in his head had done more than just bind a bit of his personality: Illumi’s needle had Killua prioritize his own self preservation over anything else. Since the family saw Alluka as a threat to Killua's safety, the needle caused Killua to not think of Alluka as he normally would, other than that she was family. Killua headed over to the Zoldyck estate to talk to his father about seeing Alluka and got upset over his father’s disregard of one his children when he arrived. Alluka had been kept under the mountain, isolated from the rest of the family and world, but she was elated to see her big brother despite being locked up. The reason she was locked up and the treated differently was due to her powers. Alluka is able to grant wishes, but it’s more complicated than simply making a wish; there are rules. Killua is the exception to all these rules. To be able to make a wish, one must first fulfill three of Alluka’s request. The requests are normally the cost of the last wish. If the requests are not filled, then the one she is requesting from will die and the bigger the cost, the more people will die as well. The extra deaths will be people that have connections to the one that Alluka is requesting from. If the conditions are filled then a wish may be granted. It is hinted at that it doesn’t matter how whose wish is granted after the requests are filled by an individual, as long as someone is fulfilling the requests. These are the rules that are known to most of the Zoldycks, and a small portion of their staff. Making wishes with only these rules known then can be a real risk, which is why everyone but Killua is wary of Alluka’s powers.

Killua loves Alluka and understands her powers the best. Killua demanded that their parents allow him to take Alluka out of the manor. His parents refused, and instructed them to just make the wish from where they were. Killua refused and instead made a wish with a condition to it: If they didn’t get to leave the manor in a certain amount of time, then Alluka would kill their mother. This enraged Milluki while Kikyou herself was in tears of joy over how ruthless Killua had been. Silva was angry and impressed by the maneuver Killua had pulled, but he had a trick of his own. Once Killua and Alluka went through the testing gate they were placed on a level 4 restriction*. The butlers assigned to watch over them were: Canary, Gotou, a new butler named Amane, and to Killua’s dread, Tsubone. This particular butler was the only one that could truly handle Killua, as she worked directly under Silva and Zeno. To make things more difficult, Alluka made a request to Tsubone for her fingernail thus starting a chain of requests that needed to be fulfilled before a wish could be made. Tsubone gave her fingernail to Alluka but left before Alluka could make any more requests. So this means that Killua couldn’t make any wishes either.

With this setback, they headed out by car to take a flight to the hospital where Gon was. Killua watched what was going on during the Chairman Elections and saw Leorio punch Ging. Killua called Morel about having Gon moved to a separate location since no one was allowed to see exactly what Alluka was going to do outside of family. However, next he received a call from his eldest brother, Illumi. They discussed the needle situation, which ended in Illumi then making a threat to Killua. Killua retorted to Illumi that he could just try whatever he had planned and then a truck crashed into the car that he, Alluka, and the others were in. They are sent off the highway and into the forest while Illumi and Hisoka are watching from a cliff nearby (though Killua is not aware of Hisoka’s presence). They discussed Killua and Alluka, and Hisoka made a remark about “Killing” Killua which ignited Illumi’s Bloodlust. Thanks to that, Killua was able to sense exactly where Illumi was. So in that moment, Killua decided to run off with Alluka safely in his arms, leaving the butlers behind using God Speed. Once Killua arrived at the airport, he decided to call Morel and rat out Illumi to the Serin Group. The second part of his plan was to use several blimps as decoys, with three different landing sites in mind for his blimp to land at with butlers awaiting by car at each site. He would only land at one site, then head to the hospital by car. He flew a blimp to the location he picked and met with one of the butlers, but as he asked him to take him to the hospital he declined. It turned out that the butler had already been needled by Illumi, and was under his control.

Surrounded by Needlemen (normal citizens turned into mindless soldiers under Illumi's control from his needles) and Illumi, Killua is backed into a corner since he could lose Alluka in the battle. Tsubone came out and apologised to Killua, saying she had been bugged and accidently gave away his plan. Nanika appeared because Alluka’s request would be filled with Tsubone’s reappearance. Killua started crying a little after because Illumi was trying to convince him to kill him with his currently wish so that Gon could be saved. Killua instead decided to wish that Tsubone’s hand was healed instead. He explained that Nanika can kill easily but to heal something she needed to touch it. Killua explained that the risks come from the nature of the wish itself: selfish wishes will grant punishments. With this new information Illumi left, realising that there is no risk to Killua, but he first told Killua that he’ll want to know more after Nanika has healed Gon. Killua didn’t want to inform Illumi of more because it would put him and Alluka at much greater risk by not only Illumi but the whole family, but he knew he had no choice.

They finally got to the hospital and Killua was heartbroken at seeing the state that Gon was in.He resolved himself to make the wish and Alluka healed Gon. After everyone left, Killua and Alluka waited for Illumi to appear and question them on why Killua could bypass the rules known. In the end Killua wished Illumi to go home and Alluka teleported him there because of Illumi’s reaction to the reasoning behind why Killua could bypass the rules. Then Killua told Nanika that she is not allowed to ever come out again, thinking that this would be the easiest way to protect her. Alluka woke up and yelled at Killua for yelling at Nanika. Killua is shocked but realised that he was giving into what Illumi wanted. He tells Nanika to come out again and he apologises, saying that he’ll take good care of her. The last time we see Killua, he traveled with the healed Gon and Alluka to meet Ging and tells him that Alluka was the one who had saved him. He and Alluka then depart from Gon, with the promise that they will meet again later.

* Killua's outside alert level was 4, so that meant that restrictions were placed on what he could do and say. He was also not allowed to have Alluka be apart from him for more than a short distance. To enforce these restrictions, multiple butlers and family members were assigned to monitor him. If a restriction was violated, Killua would have been immediately captured and returned home, and the alert would have automatically increased to level 5. At level 5, the moment a single step is taken outside Zoldyck property, Killua would be captured.

Abilities/Special Powers:
There are two ways to categorize Killua’s skills and abilities. The first part will focus on his physical and mental skill. The second part will be focused on the skills he gained through Nen, a manipulation of his own life force or aura.

Thanks to his training, Killua far surpasses the average human in strength and speed; these are attributes have only increased since the start the series. To enter the Zoldyck grounds properly one must go through the testing gates, which take a certain amount of strength to open as even the first door is heavy, weighing two tons. Currently Killua has been able to open five doors which in total weigh sixty-four tons. There are a total of seven doors. There isn’t a good measure for the speed he possesses even without being enhanced by nen, but it is known that he can move faster than the average human eye can track at the beginning of the series.

Another byproduct of his training is that Killua has an extremely high pain tolerance; some known tolerances are being whipped constantly with a bullwhip, severe electrocution, and high resistance to most known poisons. He can also stretch the muscles and bones in his hands to create razor sharp claws, an assassination technique that is passed down in his family.
Killua’s mind is highly strategic, as he can easily come up with solid plans on the spot when the needs arises.

Killua’s class of nen is Transmuter, which means he can change the property of his aura. In this case, he changes his aura into electricity. His body can literally store a large amount of it to be used with his nen.

Three of his known attacks with electric-based nen abilities are:
Lightning Palm- His hands can become literally tasers.
Lighting Bolt- a long distance attack that he can shock enemies with.
GodSpeed- The last and most important of his nen abilities known so far. Killua’s whole body becomes enveloped in his electric aura. This attack needs a lot of electricity loaded into it before it runs out, however, with it Killua can react and move his body at speeds that would normally be impossible to even the best Hunters by redirecting all of the electrical impulses in his body. It is unknown to what MPH/MPS he can go, but it is known that this ability has two parts: Speed of Lightning, and Whirlwind. Speed of Lightning allows him to travel really fast for long distances while Whirlwind allows him to sense his opponents moves and have his body react accordingly without hesitation; Whirlwind gives him total control on what he is doing when using Godspeed.

Side note: Killua also knows how to use a skateboard and fly a blimp.

Third-Person Sample:

There is a fine line of the things that Killua can take before he starts getting pissed. Today that line was reached and it was a good thing no one was around or he would have done something a bit rash. So... ending up in a new location is one thing. Ending up in a new location and Alluka being no where to be found had him stressed. For, being in a new location, and finding out that Alluka isn’t around, and that he couldn’t call her had him pissed and scared. He couldn’t even think of when it happened; there was no warning, no signal of danger. One moment he was putting Alluka to bed, and the next he’s in some forest.

It took him a moment to calm down, as the panicking wasn’t going away fast like he would hope. The boy knew that he needed to figure out as much as he could first, so he tries to calm down. He wasn’t hurt, he certainly wasn’t restricted with his abilities — just misplaced. So if he had to guess, it was almost as if Nanika had wished him off to another place. Did he somehow wish for something in his sleep? It was the only explanation he had at the moment besides the fact that the place felt...off, for he couldn’t sense any danger.

So Killua pondered what was he going to do. His phone didn’t work, so he couldn’t contact anyone and he was nowhere near his last location. So the best thing to do was find the nearest person and get intel on the situation. He somewhat hoped they were hostile so that he could happily take out all his frustration on them without regrets.

With that plan in mind, he wanders around the forest hoping to find some lucky individual to help him out.

First-Person Sample:

From what I’m understanding, some idiot kidnapped me. Which is dumb in and of itself, I am not as nice as I look . They did a half assed job to boot; like I wasn’t a threat. There weren’t even any guards watching me. I don’t know which is more insulting: getting kidnaped by idiots or being considered harmless.

[Normally that would be great that they underestimated him but this is ridiculous. ]

Just because I wouldn’t slaughter them outright doesn’t mean I wouldn’t rip their limbs off. A person doesn’t need all of them to stay alive, you know.

...Anyway, I’m getting sidetracked. All I want to do is get back to my sister, because I know she’s super worried by now. So if one of you could help me out with more information that would great.

[Killua is just upset about his missing sister, really. Nothing else is wrong with him at all.]
