Out of all the pokémon, that have shown up recently this one is confusing me the most.

[He tilts his gear up to show a sleeping Vivillon on his head for a moment before pointing it back at his face.]

Now, it isn’t the fact that its a butterfly or anything. I was excepting some sort of flying bug from the two bug pokémon, I was able to get last month. I’m calling it a Pixelfly for now, since that what those scales have been reminding me of. No this is what’s confusing me.

[He turns the gear the to the left and there is another Vivillon with a completely different pattern. I's sitting a counter, cleaning it's antennae]

When they evolved, they turned into these guys, but here is the confusing part. Either of one is a shiny, when they were just little Caterpillar like bugs, they were the exact same color. Yet here we are and for a split second I thought maybe it was a gender difference or area difference that caused it. But they are the same gender and they evolved at almost the same time. Yet here are the results.

Even weirder when I went to the pokémon center today, I saw another two, one with a pokéball pattern and another that was mostly white. How many different forms do these pixelflies have?

Oh! Killua-san, those butterflies are so pretty! I guess I should have asked Joker-san for one of those weird little bugs when he had a bunch of them, huh! I didn't know they'd evolve to look like this!

I don't know why they have different colors, though... Maybe it's random?

If it is random than it would be the second known pokemon to do that, the other one is Spinda. This one takes it a step further.

Pixelfly seems like quite a fitting name, to be honest. My friend has one, although his is in a different color... Hmm...

His is a dark magenta, with cyan markings on the inside near the base of his wings, and black tips. Its body is also black. Give me a moment, perhaps I can get him to show it.

It's a little bear covered in big red polka dots, the shape and size of the dots is never the same.

That would be true if we were talking about regular animals. The other butterfly pokemon only come in two colors each.

I still thing it's a special sort of evolution, I just need to narrow down all the factors that surrounds it.
