What I gave those two were magikarps, which are pretty useless you can get them to evolve which is tough itself. They can only learn three moves: splash, tackle, and flail until it evolves. You need patience and strategy to get them anywhere~

Technically you don't need to do much except leave your pokemon alone for a bit and they'll do that rest if they want. Which somewhat annoying if you want up and there like twenty eggs scattered about the room.
