Oh no, it doesn't have anything to do with your work ethic. Considering he was willing to play along with Rise-chan's ideas about promotion, I don't think it's fair for either of us to doubt his work ethic.

I don't doubt his work ethic, it was more a surprise that he just stopped at the first one. He just wanted the badge to learn FLY, but didn't decide to go after the gym that gets you the HM.
