Everyone's got a name or at least something close to it. But do you guys know what your names actually mean, or the reason you were given that name? We give pokémon names to set them apart, but does the way you name yours mean anything special? I just named this guy Lemon Twist since he reminds me of striped lemon candy.

It's interesting when you think about it: someone or you yourself has been given this word to identify by and it could have some really deep mean behind it. It could be something that a person thought sounded cute but in the end it's pretty sucky for you. For example, someone could have named their kid after a word that sounds cool yet it could mean horse-shit in the language its from.

I sort of lucked out with the way my parents named me and my siblings, but it has me wondering about everyone else. So tell me what your names mean.

It's more creative then just naming yourself Ringleader that's for sure~

Though I have to admit it does make people think fun or pranks.

I actually named the rest of the first tier members too- we all came from the same orphanage. Well, most a us, and then Snake came later.

Did you name them in similar ways? It's pretty easy to tell why Snake has his name.

...Well it was easy ta remember and they're his best friends, so it's a good as one as any other. Right?

It's short and to the point, you could have named Scales or Serpant. It would all be about the same thing.

Now those just sound silly.

As long as it doesn't sound stupid it's fine. Those could be his nicknames.

Besides Snake, there was Beast, Dagger, Jumbo, Wendy, an' Peter that made up the rest of us.

[He nods as Joker continues until Joker gets to the last too.]

Wait, Wendy and Peter? Those sound pretty average compared to the others.

[That just makes him laugh.]

I know! They threatened- well, Peter threatened ta take out my knees, the ol' hellion, and Wendy said she'd make my life a livin' hell from then on.

[Such a loving brother and sister he has.]

So I had ta pick somethin' else. There's a lil' joke ta the names based on a story someone our Father knew was gonna write.

Isn't that adorable. [He's not even being sarcastic, he's threatened to maim is family on more then on occasion.]

That sounds like an interest way to get a name. Though I'm guessing you haven't read the story yet?

Heh, wouldn't have 'em any other way. [Well, alright, maybe Peter could stop being a right bastard, but besides that.]

Nah, it wasn't written yet far as I knew. I'm fine with keepin' it a bit of an in-joke 'tho.

If you don't mind me asking what was the story going to be called?

Ah... I can't quite remember the name a the story proper. I was really sorta eavesdroppin' while doin' a few other things. But I think the book was... somethin' somethin' bird.

It was a long while ago, mind.
