Everyone's got a name or at least something close to it. But do you guys know what your names actually mean, or the reason you were given that name? We give pokémon names to set them apart, but does the way you name yours mean anything special? I just named this guy Lemon Twist since he reminds me of striped lemon candy.

It's interesting when you think about it: someone or you yourself has been given this word to identify by and it could have some really deep mean behind it. It could be something that a person thought sounded cute but in the end it's pretty sucky for you. For example, someone could have named their kid after a word that sounds cool yet it could mean horse-shit in the language its from.

I sort of lucked out with the way my parents named me and my siblings, but it has me wondering about everyone else. So tell me what your names mean.

I haven't decided yet, like I said being a hunter is a title but it's also a job. The job depends on your tastes. [When one really grabs his interest he'll go after it.]

The beast hunters, for example, study and help with the preservation of undiscovered animal species. They really love nature. One of my friends is a blacklist hunter, they track down dangerous criminals. The type of hunter you become really varies.

Anything is good as long as I can have the freedom to do what I want and have fun. Maybe a treasure hunter or something like a secret hunter, finding out hidden information that's been really locked away.

Those do sound like fun! They certainly seem a lot more exciting than my dreams for the future... Maybe I should look into becoming a treasure hunter! [ She smiles a bit. ]

Your dream can't be super boring, as long as you don't want to be dentist or plumper. Though a treasure hunting dentist would be interesting.

I don't know, my dream might not be much more interesting than that, but it's what I want to do! I want to be a chef! [ She enters a minor form of the sparkle mode that is normally reserved for America as she continues. ] I'd be famous, traveling all over the world to do my cooking shows! And I'd show everyone the wonders of natto!

[Eh those people probably had it coming besides at least he remember a few of them. Unlike some of his family.]

Actually you could be a gourmet hunter, they go around the world finding rare ingredients and making all sort of undiscovered recipes.

What exactly do you have to do to become a hunter, anyway? You mentioned an exam? An exam where... people were trying to kill each other? [ Gulp. ]

The exam is different every year, so no one knows what the test will be. There are life and death situations, but they don't try to make you kill anyone. However, the first one I went to a had a guy going around killing contestants but that wasn't part of exam. That guy is just a twisted asshole.

There was other one that wanted new people to fail, he was an asshole but not as bad as the twisted guy.

[No one is as bad as hisoka except maybe Killua's oldest brother.]

L- life and death situations? [ Eep. ] And how do I know there won't be a crazy killer in my exam? [ Mimi shivers. ] Maybe this isn't the life path I should be looking at after all!

I'm not sure, I never got around to asking but it's probably a big number maybe even infinite.

I guess you haven't been here all that long. But there are loads of people from different worlds. There is no telling where they came from without asking.

I kind of just assumed that most people were from the real world! My real world, I mean. [ Though as Mimi thinks over the list of people she's met, she has to admit that a fair few of them did seem to be from different worlds than her own... ]

So does that mean that even the ones who said they were from Japan - they might be from a different Japan than mine?

Exactly, the history could be similar be certain events could be completely different. This doesn't even take into account that the times people come in at will be different too.

For example, someone can come from the same place as you but be from several years in the future or hundreds of years in the past.

That's amazing! I don't know how this place does it, but it can really bring people together from all over, huh! Do you think there's any kind of pattern to who shows up here, and where and when they're from?

There isn't any real pattern, but if you show up here there is a chance someone from your world might. Sometimes a whole bunch of people come from the same place over time.

Oh, I hope you're right in my case! I really want to see my friends again... They're sure taking their time, though! [ That was supposed to be lighthearted, but it comes across as kind of sad. Mimi hastily tries to move the conversation forward. ]
